I wish dewalt have more 18V Li-Ion kit, such as 18V Jig saw with Li-Ion battery.  Anyone know if they plan to release such kit?

Well I can't exactly confirm this, but I have good reason to believe that Dewalt is gearing up to release bare tools. If you already have the batteries then you can just bolt on bare tools to complete your set.

I've also noticed lithium single tool kit's starting to popup as well.

Quite the thread resurrection but....

Will jump on one of the following:

DCK470L

   Li-Ion
   Hammerdrill (DCD970);
   Recip saw (DC385);
   Circular saw (DC390);
   Flashlight (DW919)

DCK475L

   Li-Ion
   Hammerdrill (DCD970);
   Recip saw (DC385);
   Impact driver (DC827)
   Flashlight (DW919)

Since they have offered the kits, I will likely jump on the 475 and add the circular saw as a bare tool.

Can someone clarify the batteries these ship with?  If I understand correctly, I think they ship with the 9181 compact batteries making for lower capacity compared to the 9180  Angry  If that is the case, seems like Dewalt kinda missed the boat unless weight is a priority over run-time.   Am I missing the point here?

XRP kit's are shipped with XRP batteries. So the 475 will come with XRP Lithium Ion batteries. DC9180. The DC9181 batteries are compact, and were meant to compliment the compact tools. People who don't need the runtime, and would rather enjoy a lighter weight tool.
