Has anybody ever bought  / used anything that was DeWALT factory reconditioned?  I was browsing Factory Authorized Outlet and they have some substantial discounts (at the expense of the 3 year warranty going to a 1 year) on these types of tools.  12" double bevel miter for 270?  Wow.

Are these tools worth taking a chance on?  FAO states you'd be lucky to find a blemish on them and they are checked 2x's by DeWALT before going back in circulation.

What do you say?  Are these worth it?

I'd say go for it! That is one of the best tools in Dewalt's arsenal. Not a whole lot of things that can go wrong with it. You've got a year to see how well they put it back together. If nothing happens in the first year, you probably won't have any issues period. It's a very well built tool.

I would add the SHADOW LINE to the purchase. It is much better than the laser. The above link is me installing mine.

I have purchased quite a few factory reworks and never had any trouble with them
