Upon closer examination, it looks like the following.

= HYPOID

= HYPHOID

= WORM DRIVE


Looks like Dewalt's DW378 "HYP H OID" is not actually a Off-Set-Sprial-Bevel Gear set.

does anyone know where I can get a case for my worm drive saw? ive been looking but havent found anything yet.

Dewalt is not currently offering a case for the Worm Drive Circ.

I was surprised to see that a replacement gear set is available and affordable.  I have not been able to find one and mine is toast.  I can find a replacement arbor which I assume has the gear on the end, but it's around $85, I can't find the other gear.  Where can we find replacement gears?

The only problem with this saw that i can see is they should offer a case for it..  Besides that i love my saw.. i plan on buying the rip guide for it soon.

You can ofcourse get one of the Toughsystem boxes and put it in there. Then you have room for accessories as well.

It's currently available in Europe and it will go on sale in the US beginning of July.

I already got 2 of these boxes and they are really tough.
Standing on top of them they don't give a crack. Not even when jumping.

I hope that my local lowes carries them... Because That would be purfect for my saw.....  I went yesterday to try and find something that would work but found nothing guess i will have to wait untill the first of july because i really like the the looks of the toughbox system..
