Stumbled on this idea after I just picked up my new DC020 flood light.

Its typically recommended that for long term storage you should leave your Nanos at about 40% charge - storing them fully charged supposedly degrades the longevity of the battery.

With that in mind, after trying out my new floodlight I read that you can run the light for about 2 hours on a single charge off a 18V battery.

So I ran both my Nanos in the light for 1 hour each thereby bringing them close to 40%.  Now they are nice and tucked away in the preferred long term storage state.

Mind you this isn't necessary if you use the batteries frequently or daily.
