i have just purchased a 36v dewalt jigsaw and i'm hoping to buy a naked 36v track saw,but i can't seem to find one.so i,m wondering if a 36v battery goes in a 28v unit,or where a can fined a 36v track saw . any help would be great

The two voltages are not interchangeable. Dewalt is currently only offering 18v as a bare tool. Ebay would most likely be your best bet.

Like JC said , they do not interchange. Also, there is only 1 cordless tracksaw and that is 28volt. There are 28v jig saws available online if you want to go that route.

If you are going the 28v route i would suggest you stock up on the tools and batteries, the 28v line will be discontinued because of very low volume; the 36v will still be available.......

That's what I thought, thanks, I wasn't sure. Do you know if there are plans to move the track saw to 36volt because of this?

That's what I thought, thanks, I wasn't sure. Do you know if there are plans to move the track saw to 36volt because of this?

Not sure, i know they are working on a few other products for the 36v line that's all.
