I am considering buying a DW734 planer.  DeWalt's literature says it comes with a a dust hood.  Is their "dust hood" the part needed to actually connect to a vacuum hose?  I seem to think this part (to connect to a hose) is an additional item.  If so, does DeWalt sell this connector?  Thanks.  Ned

The DW735's dust hood funnels the wood chips from a 13" opening down to a hose size hole that you can hook your vac, or dust collector to. Dewalt does offer another attachment (DW7353) this attachment allows you to either funnel the wood chips down the hose provided into a garbage, or into the collection bag provided.

So if you already have a powered option for dust collection, your all set. You may need an adapter to make the connection depending on the size of your current hose size?
