De Walt indicates the DW849 Polisher will handle a 9-Inch Backer Plate.
I'm looking for a source of such a Plate plus Pads. Does anyone know
who could be a possible source for such items?

DEWALT has a 9" DAJHXMHD01

Milwaukee has a 9" 49-36-3750

Bosch has a 9"  BP900

Your looking for a 5/8-11. Both of the above models have the 5/8-11 threads. I believe the pad's will be 8 1/2" - 9" and those are readily available just about anywhere.
