This will not only increase the lumen but also extend the per charge run time significantly. Plus light bulb for life. I would pay $10-15 for that.

ya the new 12V LiIon line up has a little LED light that cost $50. I think it's just a matter of time when they come out with a LED bulb for the 18V.

What is the model # of that replacement LED bulb, I been looking and cant find it?
I am still waiting on the Nano base version of the DW908.
Would the 908 accept the same LED bulb too?

I'll have to track it down.  I know that it is hard to find, but I have found it for some customers before.

Its the brightest commercially available floodlight unit for the cordless tool flashlight market. We bench tested it at over 300 honest (not startup) lumens. We have sold hundreds without problem and stand behind it with our 90 day return policy, or you could spend $50 plus shipping on the dcl0900 110 lumen single diode spotlight?

Our Cree diode "drop in" is only $19.98 with free shipping and 90 day warranty. For a single diode unit, its the brightest we have tested as a "drop in" replacement for the KPR/XPR size, in fact, we offer a reward to anyone who finds a brighter unit that matches PR base dimensions in this voltage.

The problem with a lot of LED replacement lamps is heat dissipation.  LEDs like to run coo, and despite their low wattage, generally need a good heat sink to dissipate heat from a powerful single LED source.

^you are right, but myself being a DIYer, i can see how i can rig mine up to add a heat sink to the high power LED to expand it's life.

They are illuminated solely by the movement of electrons in a semiconductor material, and they last just as long as a standard transistor. The lifespan of an LED surpasses the short life of an incandescent bulb by thousands of hours. Tiny LEDs are already replacing the tubes that light up LCD LED Light Bars led strip lights flexible led strip led strip lighting led strip lighting HDTVs to make dramatically thinner televisions.
