Just looking around and which one would be better for regular projects around the house (ie cutting 2*4, Plywood, OSB, etc.)

And whats the difference really besides the voltage? battery life??

DeWALT has marketed it's new line as 20v Max. It's really 18v. The newer line comes with better ergonmics, larger ah battery(3.0ah vs 2.2), and improved electronics. DeWALT claims the new DCS391L1 has a 50% longer run time over the previous model DCS390L. Either would work great around the home. With the launch of 20v max, you may find the DCS390 going to a lower price, or clearance at some distributors/retailers.

Ok thanks... ya that was what i was thinking was longer battery-life. maybe alittle more torque, but they put out the same RPM. I'm just do small things like shelves, workbenches, etc. so i'm just goin to go with the 18V.

The amp hours quoted from Dewalt's website show that the DC9180 battery that ships with the DCS390L is 2.4 Amp hour. I see all over this forum that it is refferred to as 2.2 amp hour. Can somone please shed some light on this?
