I have a Dewalt D26441 1/4 sheet sander that is about 16 months old and has started to rattle and shake and sound very loud.  Any idea of the likely problem and is it worth fixing?  It's seen only occasional use so it's disappointing it has seemingly packed it in so soon!

Any thoughts are appreciated.

The sander has a 3 year warranty. If it's only 16 months I would just find your nearest local service center and have them repair it.
