I have a DCT410 12v camera and about a month ago it started only displaying static. It works great for 8 months.

Any way to fix it?

Not many things to troubleshoot. Is the camera (snake part) fully tightend onto the hand held portion? Do you experience the same problem when the screen is attatched and detatched? There is a reset button on the back of the screen you can try pressing that button. If it still doesn't work I would take it back to the store and exchange it.

I have been playing with and noticed that the signal bars are bouncing between none about every second

I have verified everything is tight and reset the unit.

I will have to take it in to get looked at.

Yah, you are within warrenty period, so there is no point not getting it taken care of while it is free!  Either exchange it for a new one, or take it to a service center to get repaired.
