Hello everybody !

I'd like to replace my good old DC925KB by one of these new babies !
I juste would like to have your opinion because the new batteries seem to be the future standard.

The DCD985L2 comes with a 3.0Ah battery VS 2Ah for the DCD925L2.
But since there have been a controversy with the new cells I would like to know the opinion of the DCD985L2 owners.

Same thing, with the new Jacobs chuck vs the good old Rohm. Is the Jacobs'one as tough as Rohm ?
Btw I've seen the new "trigger" on the DCD985L2 no longer have copper on it, is there any explanation for this change ?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to share your opinion.

The 985L2 is a great option.  The cells are excellent, and carry a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty (more than the nano-phosphate has ever had).  I would have no misgivings about investing in the new 20v MAX system.  If you are not invested in the 18v platform, I would 100% recommend investing in the 20v.  The quality is still 100% there, and the ergonomics are much improved, performance is stepped up, and you will be a part of the more technologically advanced system.  Go for it!
