I have a new D28715 that I tried to cut 1/8" 1-1/2 angle with but the blade walked all over the place leaving a 1/4" kerf.

Made 2 cuts with it and parked it.

Any advice?

Maybe try a different abrasive wheel.  The 715 is the best high speed chop saw on the market, so either look into a different cutting technique, or a different accessory.

I Also see this as an issue with the abrasive wheel. As you cut with abrasive wheels, they tend to heat up and flex as you are cutting.

Try using the DW8500 diamond edge chop saw wheel. It has a steel core that will not shrink and be more stable.

As was just said, if you can swing it, the DW8500 is an excellent option.  However, you need to be doing quite a bit of cutting to justify the cost of the 8500.  If you do that kind of cutting quantity, you will easily spend 2 times the cost of the DW8500 on standard abrasive wheels, but you have to do enough cutting to be worth the up front expense.  The standard XP DeWALT abrasive wheels should work really well for you as well if you do not plan on making a really large number of cuts.
