Hi Folks,

I have a DeWalt DCF610 10.8V hex driver and a 20V MAX DCD780 drill. They are the perfect combination for price / size / power for my type of work (light furniture building and assembling), but...

I could really benefit from a solution for offset / eccentric drilling into tight spaces, something like the Festool Offset Chuck, for work on e.g installing drawer rails...

I've searched the 'net but I could not find anything...Can anyone help?

The Festool Offset chuck looks like this:

I use this.  Its not perfect, but its what I came up with.  It can be used with any kind of hex shank bits, drilling or driving.

It would be very helpful if you could please measure the diameter of the round head.
If we divide that by 2, we can find the minimum clearance (distance from edge to the center of the bit) allowed.

Thank you!

Diameter at very end of head = 0.773"

Depth of hex bit insert/placement hole = 0.465"
(it is magnetic too)

Total length = 5.428"

All measurements were taken from my 'Milwaukee Offset Drive Adapter 48-32-2100' using a Snap-On Electric Digital Caliper.

They have other models too;
